Debbie Keys- Office Manager
Debbie and Dr. Mims have a long history together. She has worked in dentistry since 1981 and for Dr. Mims since 1987. As the Office Manager, Debbie oversees the day-to-day operations of the practice.
Debbie has one daughter and three stepdaughters. She and her husband Donald have four grandchildren. She loves to spend time with her family, and she also enjoys gardening and attending church.
Rebecca McDonald- Treatment Coordinator
Rebecca joined our team in June 1993. She discusses treatment plans with patients and assists them in making financial arrangements for the services they need. She enjoys meeting people and seeing them smile with confidence once their treatment is complete.
Rebecca is married and enjoys spending time with her family, spoiling her grandson and attending church.
Tabitha Hughes- Administrative Assistant
Tabitha came to our office in November 2003. She has an associate’s degree in healthcare management and puts those skills to use when scheduling appointments and assisting patients with the checkout process.
She is married and has two daughters.
Kimberly Trantham Thrasher – Dental Assistant
Kim become a member of the Mims Dental Team in August 2014. She transitioned into the dental field after working eleven years in healthcare. Kim received her Dental X-ray Technician certification through Eastern Carolina University Dental School in Sylvia, North Carolina. Kim enjoys providing patients with a comfortable, yet enjoyable experience at the dentist because she knows the importance of keeping a happy, healthy smile. Kim assists Dr. Mims with all procedures from orthodontics to surgical implants. In her spare time, she and her husband, Cody, along with their daughter, Eden, take care of goats, pigs, and chickens on their hobby farm. Kim enjoys spending time with her daughter, gardening, canning/preserving food and relaxing with family and friends.
Belinda Brown- Dental Assistant
Belinda has worked in our office since August 2003, where she assists Dr. Mims in dental procedures and serves as our OSHA officer.
She loves being involved in surgical procedures and helping patients make their smiles happy and healthy for the rest of their lives.
Belinda moved to North Carolina from Alabama in 1997 and got married in 1998. She enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends.
Debbie Aldrich- Registered Dental Hygienist
Debbie comes to work every day appreciative of the opportunity to help our patients practice and maintain good oral health. A member of our staff since 2006, she says she enjoys the one-on-one relationships we have with the patients we serve.
When she’s not making smiles brighter, Debbie loves spending time with her daughter and four dogs, taking trips to the beach and visiting lighthouses. She’s also a fan of hiking, exploring, boating, gardening, practicing natural remedies, cooking and homemaking.
Jean P. Hakel- Registered Dental Hygienist
Jean joined the Mims Family Dentistry team in August 1998 and she has been helping patients keep their teeth and gums healthy ever since.
Jean is married to Rich Hakel, and when she’s not in the office, she enjoys reading and gardening.
Charlene M. Smith- Registered Dental Hygienist
Charlene entered the dentistry field after graduating from dental hygiene school at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College in 1982. Her career at our office began in March 1989.
She went on to complete the Radiology Instructors course at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 2001, and she teaches the annual dental radiology certification course for office-trained dental assistants through the Mountain Area Health Education Center in Asheville.
Charlene and her husband Noland have three daughters and one son-in-law.
Robin Scionti- Registered Dental Hygienist
Robin joined our practice in 2000 and since then, she has thoroughly enjoyed seeing her patients become more excited about good oral health and how it relates to their overall health.
Robin is a graduate of Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College’s dental hygiene program. She is married, has two “very active” children, and in her spare time, she likes to read and make jewelry.
